can I find the screensaver settings in Windows XP?
A. Right
click on any empty space on your desktop, select properties,
select the screensaver tab.
Q. My
Antivirus found a virus(es), but can't remove it, why?
A. There
could be several reasons why i.e.. the file(s) that is
infected may be in use, the file may be required for the
system to boot, a removal solution is not available from you
anti-virus program yet etc... If you get stuck, you most
likely will need to have a professional check your system
and remove the virus. Contact us , we provide virus removal
service.
Q.I just
moved my desktop computer and it won't power on?
A. Check
your system as it may have a main power switch located in
the back usually near the power cable socket, it should be
switch to the on(usually marked with an I) position.
Q.I
accidently spilled liquid on my laptop, what should I do?
A. The
battery pack(s) should be removed immediately and the laptop
should be brought to a professional to be cleaned and
diagnosed. If nothing has been "burnt out" then chances are
it will just need a cleaning. If you have spilled anything
besides water and your laptop still works after its "dries"
and not clean up is performed, there is still a good chance
that the system could be damage by corrosion overtime.
Q.I have
to wiggle my power cord where it plugs into my laptop for it
to turn on or charge, what's wrong?
A. Well,
it could be a bad power adapter, a failing power jack or
both. We
can diagnose your problem and provide power jack
replacement if needed. A power jack failure can create a lot
of heat and sparks that can lead to more extensive damage so
it is a good idea to have it looked at sooner than later.

How to
perform a hard drive defragmentation in Windows XP
This
utility program is used to re-organize
the files and un-used space on the hard disk, so that
operation system can access data more quickly and easily.
When operating system stores data on the disk, it stores the
data in the first available sector on the disk. In this case
data of a file is stored on disk in a scattered form; it is
referred to as “File is fragmented”. The fragmentation slows
down the data accessing speed of computer. You can improve
the performance of your computer by de-fragmenting your hard
disk. In De-fragmentation process, the data of each file is
stored in continuous sectors. There are many third party
software’s available in market for this purpose but you can
use windows built-in utility program called Disk
Defragmenter. To start disk defragmenter utility, first make
sure all running program are closed.
Double Click and open my computer.
Right click on your main hard drive (C:). Click on the
properties tab. Select Tools Tab. Now select
Defragment Now. Now you will see two tabs Analyze and
Defragment. Select the defragment button. If you have
a large hard disk, this process can take several hours. I
recommend you doing every three months if you want to keep
your computer performance up to date.
